# trove value

> Load this page when: you need a report of what your agents read in a time window

## For agents

- Run trove value --format json to get the full report for a script.
- Set the window with --since, as a day count such as 30d or a date such as 2026-09-01.
- Use --all to list every session in the window.

`trove value` shows what your agents read, how many sessions found something, and which books did the work. Only you can see your report.

## trove value

Prints the report for a time window.

**Usage**

```bash
trove value [--since WINDOW] [--format FORMAT] [--sessions N] [--all]
```

**Arguments and flags**

| Flag | Value | Default | Meaning |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `--since` | `30d`, or a start date `YYYY-MM-DD` | 30d | Report window. A day count looks back that many days. A date runs to today. |
| `--format` | markdown or json | terminal, and markdown when piped | Output format. The global `--json` selects json. |
| `--sessions` | integer | 10 | Number of sessions to show in the narrative. |
| `--all` | none | off | Show every session in the window. |

**Example**

```bash
trove value --since 7d --format markdown
```

**Output**

With `--format json` the output is the server report. It has `window`, `totals`, `outcomes`, `sessions`, `topSources`, `daily`, `funStats` and `generatedAt`. It also has `deepestSession`, `percentile`, `busiestChannel`, `wiki` and `requestedBooks`. **Errors**

| Message | Fix |
| --- | --- |
| `Invalid --since '{value}'. Use a day count like 30d, or a start date like 2026-07-01.` | Fix the value. |
| `Unknown --format '{value}'. Use markdown or json.` | Use `markdown` or `json`. |
